My telephone is currently offline with all other shaw services working. I have unplugged the terminal, used the paperclip reboot option and it is still not online. Can you suggest another alternative?

If you need to reset the phone terminal, you can do it by removing the power cord and battery (excellently explained at How to remove the battery from your Digital Phone Terminal ) or by resetting from the pinhole (amazingly explained at How to perform a DPT Pin-hole Reset).
If the phone terminal is online and it is suspected that the issue is with the connection between the terminal and the wall jacks, this explains how to bypass the terminal and connect the telephone direct to the terminal itself: How To Connect a Phone Directly to Your Digital Phone Terminal.

Which lights are lit on the phone terminal - that will indicate what it's current status is, and will often indicate why it is not working.
Try taking one phone, and plugging directly into the Line1 on the phone terminal.
