I've been monitoring this channel for some days now since I got my HD tv and I haven't seen anything at full resolution.
Pretty sure that's a SD channel. Most HD channels are up in the 200's.
Thanks for the response.
According to the people in the Shaw store at Southgate, Channel 39 is HD. I wanted to subscribe to the HD channel 261-- they said I didn't have to.
Would depend on the type of HD box you have, could you tell us the model #?
As lesanar points out most HD channels are in the 200's but if you have newer HD Guide box (DCX3200 or DCX3510) with the new guide, then the lower channels use 'Auto HD' to show you the HD Feed.
Some programming may not be filmed in HD though so you might see it in a 4:3 aspect ratio, with black bars on the side. Usually with older shows you see this.
I have a new DCX 3510-M box. Your response is that of the people in the store. When I look at upcoming shows for the next few days, I don't see anything in HD on 39. Madmen is coming in SD. I haven't seen anything in HD since I got the new box several weeks ago.
Hmm, ok we will have to investigate this further by taking a look at your account.
I know for AMC in HD you need either HD Plus or the Movies theme pack or Best of HD.
I'll message you directly to take a further look.
Thanks. The people at Southgate thought I should be able to get it. I'll await your answer.
Thanks, I have sent you a direct message.
