I am having trouble sending messages from my Microsoft Outlook for Mac 2011 program. I have followed instructions to add a Shaw Account to Outlook. Please help. Does Shaw have to remotely enable SMTP?
Are you able to receive messages? If that's the case and you've used mail.shaw.ca on port 587 for your outgoing server, then you're right that you'd need remote access enabled. Have you followed the steps for that here? Enabling Remote Access in Webmail
If you're not getting anywhere enabling that, or if that doesn't take care of the problem, let us know, we can look into it further. Any error messages you receive would certainly help.
