hi, don't know if others are seeing this but I am......it's back!
This seems to be a reoccuring issue here....it's really crappy getting kicked out of everything.....especially when playing hardcore mode and you get back to see a body....
thanks guys! so far it's stayed up since they fixed the line at the poles down the street.....a bit jumpy but isn't dropping, I'm ok with this......
Hello rob3551, I was unable to find any area issues impacting Valleyview, BC that might be at play here. This is something we can look into though. Have you tried pinging Google and are you seeing any issues here? (see How to Perform a Ping Test (Windows).
If you're only having a problems timeouts/latency on the connection to that game server, there's probably an issue specific to the server that we may not be able to address. If you see an issue through an independent ping test though, or notice that your connection is slow/intermittent when using the internet for other purposes, there could be an issue with your connection. The next thing we'd want to know is what equipment you are using, e.g. a Shaw supplied modem only, or a Shaw modem connected to a router (wired or wireless)?

I called and they sent out a tech on manday, he was quite good, and he replaced my line from the pole to the house, and the modem. Now the next day and it's windy and sunny....and it's dropping constantly....
I keep saying it's the line on the street.
I have a clean line from outside to my demarc board ( I am a tech), the router is still on warranty, I split a 3 way phone/modem/tv then a 2way for tv. He checked it out, agrees with me not in the house. everything from the pole to the house is new.....
At what point do you say it's on the street?
If your signal is still dropping with the wind, we might need to send a tech out to do some finishing touches on that new line. If you could check your inbox, I've sent you a private message.
they could check at the pole but I'm pretty certain it isn;t between the pole and the house or inside, the tech that came increased the signal by 2 db....I keep saying it's on the poles in the street.....having said that after it was crazy the other day it settled down and has been great....it's warm days with wind that make it dtrop..
so now today it has been beautiful, no drops for 2 hours, until 9 30 as the day warms so do the issues....
I am going to check this out further and see what we can figure out by running some more diagnostics at our end.
I'll get back to you shortly with an update.
