Can I simultaneously use anonymous call blocking and selective call blocking on my phone, or does it have to be one or the other?
They are both different functions so you can use them together, for example you first can turn on Anonymous call blocking, that prevents people who hide their call display from calling you without displaying their number, next moving forward if you get calls from someone who shows their number but is a telemarketer for example you can use selective call blocking to block that specific telephone number. So you can certainly use both to maximize your privacy.
One thing I like to use to help me manage these features, if you have an android or iOS mobile phone, is the Shaw Phone Management app: Shaw Phone Portal App. Or use our phone management website http://phone.shaw.ca or the star codes from your home phone handset Star Codes / Value Added Features.
Hope this helps.
Many thanks, Ali. I just downloaded the Shaw app, and it's a terrific tool!
Glad to help!
I also love the website portal. Who knew that it existed?
Happy to hear you are finding use of these features!
