I'm seeing a large number of messages from legitimate email senders being identified as spam by the Shaw filter. Is there some way to add the sending addresses to a "safe sender' list so that they aren't being tagged as spam?
You can't add them to a safe senders list. But you can remove them from the spam list.
There two ways to do that:
1. Log into webmail, click the email and then click "not spam"
2. Forward the email to firstname.lastname@example.org and include the headers of the email, if possible. How to get the headers can be found at How to report email spam by sending email headers
That works one message at a time, and it doesn't prevent the next message from the same sender from being identified as spam. I'm looking for a more effective solution.
It can be a bit of a lengthy process to remove a sender from a spam list. The best option (albeit the more time-consuming one) would be to send us the headers from their email so that we can identify what is in these emails that is triggering our filter. Sometimes it something as simple as an HTML link in their signature.
