Wanted to setups email in my new iPad mini as I had my Shaw internet back. I'm kinda totally lost with this one Though I've done it before!!!. Any creative brain? Thanks.
Thank you so much shaw-colin shaw-lance [shaw]andrew and [shaw]jeff for all your ideas/ assistance. I finally got it working though not really in a easy way. I deleted all three existing Shaw.ca addresses and created a new email address. It keeps rejecting all the existing ones I have. Glad it got it figured thru your help guys. Thanks again.
Good day imeegrace
We have a guide that gives step-by-step instructions on how to setup Shaw email on your iPad Mini. Please have a look here Setup Email on an iPhone/iPad (iOS7)
That should basically cover it. Let me know if you need any further assistance.
Hi Mr. Colin shaw-colin any reason why? I'm getting this?
The first message is pretty generic so it's hard to say. The second one sounds like it's just telling you that you already have the account setup.
Can you please double check that the account is only setup once, and then try sending an email to see if it works?
Probably, you guys will need to refresh my email address information, because, i created two email addresses exactly as before and it all went through. but when it get into creating that Exchange thing??, that's what I'm seeing. Do I have to phone shaw for that? Thank you.
Actually, I wanted to setups my Galaxy Note as well... but anyways, I'll take care these things later. Thanks though.
There you go again imeegrace stops Cloning yourself Imee Seriously, you might only missed one tiny thing in there. "My guess...."
Okay, no worries Imee. Everything with your email account looks good at this end. Here are the instructions for setting it up on your Note: How to setup email on an Android device. If you want to revisit this later and still need help just let us know.
This thing still doesn't work yet. Getting so frustrating??? I tested sending emails to this exchange address.... I received nothing :/? Please someone take a look why??? Thanks.
Hi Imee. Have you gone into the email app and deleted all @shaw.ca profiles? If you are trying to set up more than one profile, it's possible that the new one you are trying to create is conflicting with the existing one, trying to link to the same email account.
I'm not so sure what you are exactly suggesting, :/? But, it's that meant, I would be going back to square one then!?
Sometimes you have to start over to get a fresh look! If you were at any point getting error messages about an account already existing (on the iPad), you may need to make sure all profiles are cleared and then re-create a single entry for your @shaw.ca email. In your first screenshot there, I believe it's one page back (Mail Contacts Calendars) that lists all the email accounts you have put on your iPad. Make sure you just have 1 for your shaw email and that it is exchange using the properties in the setup article.
OOh thanks for responding, because it gets into my pissed off point guys... It took so much of my time just for this. I don't care this damn email anymore??? but thinking about, why I have to get BB50, not having an easy access to my emailS. It's so freakin' sucks. I logged in into my shaw customer account to delete my email address. Is that what you suggested as a solution? "As of this?
No no, nothing to do with your Online Customer Care account. All of this just involves the settings on your iPad. We just want to clear out the Shaw email profiles on your iPad and set them up again. Definitely don't want to alter the emails themselves.
I give up for now more important things to take care than just this. I'm not sure if I'm lacking of proper comprehension about what you are suggesting. is that means? I need to restarts all the emails setting in all my devices, isn't that is?
You will only need to need to remove the account from your iPad itself. You were on the right track in your previous reply in which you were confirming the deletion under Mail, Contacts, Calendars in your iPad Settings. Did you delete all accounts in there and try setting it up again?
No I haven't done any harsh things yet. I need a confirmation from you guys whether I'm doing it right. Thanks. Get back to you later.
