When viewing PPV movie I must increase TV volume to maximum in order to hear it.My TV is connected to the receiver Via HDMI cable Watching normal TV the volume is at 15- 22 %
Have you tried VOD to see if the volume is low there as well? Has this been the case with every PPV movie or even you've ordered? Have you noticed any channels that have lower volume than others? Have you tried connecting your PVR directly to your TV to test the volume that way with PPV titles?
This should help us narrow it down.
I am using VOD for movies. When watching normal TV I only have the volume set at 15 - 22% which is plenty loud enough. If I left the volume at that setting for a VOD movie I would hear nothing.?????????????
Thanks for the info
To help us narrow it down, try ordering something from the free section to see if the problem is only from Movies or regular shows as well. Also, are you able to test with HDMI direct to TV?
Hi macron. It's odd if it's only VOD movies that have low volume. I've tested on a couple of the HD boxes here in the office and I'm getting the same volume for live TV and VOD.
Have you tested by ordering some of the free TV episodes as suggested? If it's only VOD movies, is it on all movies or just some?
It is only on VOD and it is the same on all 3 TV's.no problem with any other movies The only connection between the TV and the HD 600 series receiver is the HDMI cable. So I have to assume it is not the fault of the TV's.With volume at max you can still hardly hear the audio.I can never get help from shaw, due to long waits on the phone and no access to chat.
If it's all three TVs, I'd assume it was the VOD service rather than the TVs too. It might be the boxes' connection to your local VOD server. I'll send you a private message and take a look in more detail for you.
