I've been trying to download a program today that takes approx 1 hr. I've downloaded 3 times but because Shaw keeps going down, it keeps ruining my downloads. Any chance Shaw can keep going without going down? Really frustrated customer in New West
I was able to find your account based on your email address. Your modem has been online for 101 days and your signal is in the range it should be. There's also no errors being reported by the modem.
However, your modem's wifi channel is set to default so it might be hit by wifi interference. Try changing the wifi channel to either 1, 6 or 11. Instructions on how to log in and do so can be found at How to Change the Wireless Channel on Your Shaw Wireless Modem.
Also look around your modem for anything that could cause wifi interference. Is it close to a big screen TV, stereo speaker, cordless phone? Is it on the ground rather than elevated or is it hidden inside a desk?
Try changing the wifi channel and making sure it's interference free and let us know the results!
