When I connect to the internet my home page is messy.
How do I edit and customize Shaw connect home page???
Sounds good. So, it's safe to say that the issue is only to do with how Internet Explorer is displaying that web page.
You are certainly welcome to use that as your home page in Google Chrome. Chrome will do everything that Internet Explorer will do, they are both Web Browsers. It is just made by Google instead of Microsoft. As a personal suggestion, I would recommend using Chrome as it tends to be a lot faster and simplified in certain aspects. But everyone has their preferences and it is up to you.
The Shaw Connect site doesn't currently support options for customization in terms of showing/hiding information. Is that what you mean by being able to customize? I know that the development team is always looking for feedback, if you have any specific requests for changes to the site I'd be happy to pass that along to them, or you can use the Feedback button at the bottom of the site.
I would love to be able to add content and delete what I do not want.
Right now it looks like a spacy mess.
Thanks for getting back to us, we appreciate your feedback on the Shaw Connect page.
As Jeff mentioned above, the page currently does not support options for customizing content. Is there something in particular that appears to be wrong or messy about the page? If there's an issue with it we can look into that, but as it stands it's a fairly standard news feed layout with some ads and extra content on the side.
There is a big empty space at the beginning of the page. The content is way down at the bottom of the page.
I'd say in that case it's not being displayed correctly.
Have you tried clearing the cache in your browser? If not, I'd recommend that for sure. Let us know if you need any help with that.
Have you seen any display issues with other websites by chance?
I do not know how to clear the cache in my browser.
Also, none of the links on my page work.
No worries. Actually, can you try the steps here to reset your browser? Internet Browser Support. We have steps for multiple browsers there.
I am using the latest internet explored # 11
Do not see that on the list.
Which version of Microsoft Windows is your computer running?
You could also as a test download the Google Chrome browser (http://www.google.ca/chrome) and load Shaw Connect in there to see how it looks?

I am using Windows 7.
I really like internet explorer. Not fond of Chrome.
The links on the page are working now.
Still have a big space at top of page.
Wondering if you could perhaps include a screenshot of the issue?
1. Bring up the Shaw Connect Website - where it shows the big space at the top of the page
2. Press the "Print Screen" or "Print Scr" button located near the top of your keyboard.
3. Go to start type in: mspaint and then select the paint program
4. Then once the paint application opens click the paste button on the toolbar or press "CTRL+V" on your keyboard.
5. Then go to the menu and save the image to your desktop
6. Come back to community, reply to this post and click the camera icon above the text editor to insert the image from your desktop.
If that does not work for you it may be better to contact us over live chat (www.shaw.ca/chat) so that we may remotely connect to your screen and see what the issue is.
Hope I did this correctly.
Yes, you did.
Could you start by closing some of those toolbars by clicking the 'X" next to them:
Hi debrac68, are you still having this issue with shawconnect.cal loading to a blank page? Have you found any add-ons to your browser that might have been blocking the content?
I took the extensions away but it did not work.
I am now able to click the news link and it works.
Thank you ,
I understand from your previous comments that you do not favor using Google Chrome. But, in the interest of narrowing this down, can you please try browsing to Shaw Connect using Google Chrome and let us know if it is displayed correctly that way? That'll at least tell us if the issue is specific to Internet Explorer, and we can go from there.
Installed Chrome. It looks good now.
Is it possible to have this with Google?
I will consider it.
I do favor IE.
Thanks to everyone for your help.
