From what i understand, you are talking about when you hit stop why it doesn't prompted you with a delete message?
to delete a recording, click the clear button on the remote on that specific recording which will allow you to delete.
the only time a prompt comes up automatically to delete is when you watch a recording all the way through to the end.
otherwise, the clear button is what you want to use.
When you say that you shut the Gateway off, did you actually unplug it or the portal? Also, was the recording still in progress when you pressed Stop? If so there can be a delay before the system will allow any other commands to be performed. Please provide more information so we can assist you further.
When I've run into this issue (rare as it is) unplugging the Gateway for a moment then plugging it back in tends to clear it up.
So if unplugging it was not what you meant by "shut the Gateway off", give that a go and see if it works for you. Otherwise they may need to reboot it from their end. (As unplugging it hasn't always worked for some, but it did for me.)
Hey elsagallant, are you still not able to delete your recording? As [shaw]rachel pointed out, it won't be able to delete a recording in progress too. If you're still having issues, please let us know.
