I called a dentist office today and a voice message said they do not accept blocked calls.
I had to use the cell phone to contact my dentist.
This has never happened before today.
What would make this occur now???
Yes, sorry, I did.
When this comes up, if you dial *82 pause, and then dial the number, it will unblock your number for that single call.
They would have turned on Anonymous call blocking...
If you are calling from your cell phone, in the call settings, and then network settings, there is an option to show your caller ID on outgoing calls,
Otherwise, you'll have to talk to your cellular carrier for how to display your caller-ID
I believe you have misunderstood.
I called from my home phone when it was blocked. I have Shaw home phone service.
I had to use my cell phone to contact my dentist.
Forgot to add, I told my dentist office what happened and they said they were not responsible for the blocked call.
Thank you so much. I am very happy that the solution is so easy.
As usual, you all come to the rescue.
Glad we have this site.
Yeah, if you haven't made any changes to your Shaw phone, my guess would be that someone at the dentist's office did, but didn't tell the reception staff.
But they are correct, they aren't responsible for your blocked caller-ID, only that they started to block them
Anyways, you are welcome
