My e-mail keeps coming back "not responding" and I have to log off. This happens with just about every one. When I log back on some of the messages are repeated. My internet also "stutters" but comes back after about 5 or 6 secs. How do I fix???
Sounds like you may be having some connectivity trouble balderjigs, although it could be a problem with your browser or operating system. Can you let me know what web browser you use (Internet Explorer, Chrome, Firefox, etc...)? When you see the error message 'not responding', does it look like it's a message from your browser, indicating that the program has stopped responding, and it then closes?
Could you also provide a bit more information about what's happening when your internet stutters? Does it take awhile to get to websites?
Let me know,
I am ussing Firefox for e-mail, Thunderbird for internet. "not responding" looks like from browser as I can go in to webmail and have no problem.
Internet - it is most apparent when im doing games. It stops, then returns in 4-5 secs. Don't seem to have any stutters when Im surfing for info but cud be it stutters when im going from one page to another.
I briefly talked (landline) with one of your tech people who thought it might be the router as I have a D-Link connected. However, we were cut off before we could do anything about it.
Are you able to hard-wire your computer to your router? If so, you will want to do this and then test your connection for a while. If the connection is only cutting out over wireless, you will want to try the possible remedies outlined in our WiFi Interference document.
What computer protection applications are you running?
What are the specs of your computer?
My first thought is an anti-virus application trying to scan the games and other internet activity, but your computer isn't fast enough to do it
