When having a conversation my phone cuts out several times. I thought it may have been an old wireless phone but purchasing a new phone did not help. Any suggestions on a resolution?
Sorry to hear your phone is still cutting out mid-call, even after trying a new wireless phone. That's definitely a good troubleshooting step you tried, as it does rule out any issue with the previous/current handset. If you haven't tried doing so already, I'd recommend trying to connect your wireless phone base station directly to the the Digital Phone Terminal. Instructions on how to do this are available online at How To Connect a Phone Directly to Your Digital Phone Terminal
If you are able to locate the Digital Phone Terminal and try this, it would let us know if there is a possible issue with the house phone wiring causing the calls to drop, or if it is a possible issue with the terminal itself.
If this issue persists direct to the terminal, can you also let us know if it's only impacting certain calls to/from specific numbers, or all calls?
I'm was able to plug into the digital phone terminal and I do get a dial tone. Do I need to use the phone from here now to see if I get the same problem?
That's the best way to test, for sure. If it's at all practical and the issue is going to show up soon enough (if it shows up at all). If it looks like your conversations aren't cutting out anymore with your phone plugged right into the modem, then it's time for a service call to have a tech fix the wiring in your home (if it's still happening, it's probably a service call anyway, but this will give the tech the required info before we come out).
