The only issue is that the speed-tested reports are most likely affected by SpeedBoost.
This does not help anyone who's streaming through their PS4/Xbox One to TwitchTV, for example.
Hey there reverb256
To clarify, the PowerBoost feature only affects the download speed of High Speed 10 and legacy High Speed Internet packages. Broadband 50 it does not.
I see that your post was originally in response to another thread, but ti was over a year old so I went ahead and branched it to be sure we discuss current information. Are you currently experiencing problems with your upload speeds there?
Have the plans to increase upload speed on BB50 to 5Mbps after all phases of DNU have been competed been abandoned?
Nope, that's still the plan. The completion if DNU phase 2 is on hold right now, though. But once we're back in action with completing it, the upload speeds are still expected to increase.
Thanks, still waiting.
Me too I looked into it but we don't have any updates at this time. I'll try to keep this discussion in mind and update it when the time comes.
Thanks for the quick response.
My issue is with a legacy 25/2.5 package, I guess. I used to be able to stream at 2mbps, but for some reason I'm having problems going over 1300 without random spikey packet loss. No other device was using the bandwidth heavily. I was mostly just expressing a bit of frustration because it doesn't make any sense.
For sure, that's understandable.
If you run a speed test are you getting close to 2.5Mbps up?
A couple sites to do that:
