I have had no luck in setting up master power on the Atlas remote. Am I the only one? Enter 9-9-5 and wait till cbl light blinks twice and.. No does not work for me!
Setting up master power will turn off each device one by one, in the order you set it up. If configured correctly, you should see each devices button blink once if this order after pushing CBL then Power. You do have to keep the remote aimed at the devices while it cycles through each device.
Are you saying it doesn't blink twice or that the steps after that don't work?
The steps do not work: Press set up enter 9-9-5 CBL blinks twice then when pressing the power button once to continue CBL powers off!
Just to make sure that you have the same instructions, from Programming Your Shaw Remote:
To set up master power:
It's also a good idea to put in fresh batteries, as older ones sometimes provide enough power for regular operation of the remote, but not enough to program it. Hopefully this does the trick for you, if it doesn't you likely need a new remote. If it's still under the 3 year warranty you can swap it at one of our retail locations. A new remote is $14.95 if not under warranty, and we can ship these to you at no additional cost.
The remote is a brand spanking new so I assume the batteries it came with are also fresh.
I follow the steps and in doing so each device powers off individually is that what is supposed to happen when setting up Master Power?
Should have hit correct answer tab. I think the problem I was having was that I was not properly aiming the remote at the devices when attempting to set up Mater Power.
Master Power now works like a charm!
That's great to hear,0070! Thanks for letting us know, and have a great rest of your Sunday! I'll change the answer to correct as well.
