I have a DCT3416 Motorola HDMI PVR, it has stooped outputting HDMI signal. It still outputs compocite signal.
Hmm, have you tried removing the power for 30 seconds? If this doesn't work, we can try a reset from here. Totally possible it's a software issue, but if it doesn't work then it's probably defective. You could also try another HDMI cable or swap the ends, that may work as well.
Let us know though.
I have now tried both a new cable and the 30+ second power reset with no luck.
kevinharrison, do you have another device that you could use with that HDMI cord on the TV? Testing whether another device works with it would be helpful in narrowing this down.
I tested the HDMI cable on another device and it works fine. I had previously tried another HDMI cable from a working setup, but it did not work with this PVR.
Okay thanks for confirming that. It's safe to say that just the HDMI out from the box is an issue then.
Can you please try changing the resolution display setting on the box to see if that helps? If it's set to 1080i let's go down to 720p, then 480p, etc.. and see if any of them work.
I went to Video 1 input on the TV so that I could see the settings, After each change of the settings I went back to the HDMI input on the TV, no success. I tried each of the resolution settings numerous times, still no success. I unplugged and plugged the HDMI cable back in a few times, the cable box is sensing the TV.
Hmmm, alright. Well I'd like to try fully resetting the box from here for you, and we can arrange a service call if needed. I'll send you a direct message for more information.
