I am trying to build my first photo share on OSX 10.9 using Firefox. I keep getting the attached message with no assistance on what to do. Any suggestions?
I believe that is Java blocking it.
The following links should help.
What should I do when I see a security prompt from Java?
How can I configure the Exception Site List?
Java Control Panel:
I got the Shawphoto URL in the exception list on Java and I still can’t upload. It gives a message that the process failed and I should contact the Webmaster. I guess Shawphoto isn’t worth the effort.
How many photos are you trying to upload and what is the total size of them?
27 photos, all jpg, at about 144Mb.
I do believe that might be the problem then as Photoshare has a maximum of 100MB of storage for photos. If you try uploading fewer (maybe only 15-20) I bet it will work.
Thanks. I guess I got so tied up with the Java stuff I forgot about the limit.
It is now 27 photos at 22.7Mb and I get the same issue. Talk to the Webmaster.
Can you try uploading a single photo to see if it's working at all, please?
I selected a single photo from the same folder and did "add" then "upload." I get a message saying that retry is being conducted and then the same request to contact the Webmaster. By the way, I get a Java warning every time I use Photoshare.
Alright then. Looks like we'll have to take a closer look from this end. I'll send you a direct message for more information.
