My internet speed was too slow, I can't connect to any website for two hours. Anybody can help?
First thing to check is lights on your modem. If you have 4 solid lights, that's a good sign, it means that your modem is online and getting a signal. We have a few modems out there but the light sequence should look like this - Hardware Information - Cisco DPC3825 Internet Modem.
If you have 4 solid lights, pull the power cord to your modem (and router if you have a separate one connected to the modem). If that doesn't restore your internet, restart your computer as well.
If you don't have 4 solid lights, pull the power cord to the modem for 10 seconds, also reconnect the coaxial cable on the back of the modem and the wall outlet.
If that's not successful, let us know modem lights and we can look into this further for you.
All light were on, I ran the speedtest yesterday, said I only have High Speed 10 speed, I have paid for Broadband 50, should have better speed than that. This happened for the last months and half, sometime I have internet, sometime that was extremely slow, I have changed my router from Shaw thought that was part of the problem, but nothing change.
If you're getting slower speeds than you should, it might be your signal or an area issue. The only way to find out for sure would be if I had your account information.
I will send you a private message to get that. Once I can take a closer look, I should have more answers for you.
