it was good for the last couple of days, but it appears be have another outage. This one started two hours ago.
Let's have a look for you then Mark. I've got your account details already so I'll take a look and get back to you shortly.
It looks like this is unrelated and your neighbours may be offline at the moment as well. Still, sorry for the trouble here Mark. We have a tech en route right now, so this should be able to be fixed shortly. I'll keep you updated.
I've branched this for you, since this is unrelated to the original post.
Alright, thanks Matt. I was on my iPhone when I was typing that and this site isn't mobile friendly so I thought I pushed the wrong button. Thanks for the update, I appreciate it.
No worries, we should be able to get this fixed ASAP. Tech is currently on-site.
Aaand looks like we may be back, your modem is up now. Pending any further possible issues, I think this is fixed now. Can you confirm?
Calgary seemed to be having issues as well. 50 mins ago most of my always on connections to servers in the US started seeing packet loss between 30-60%. There seemed to be no packet loss to the first Shaw router outside my residence. It wasn't an issue on my local network. The problem lasted about 15 mins but seems to have cleared up now. And yes, just in case I did power cycle my router at the time and it didn't resolve the problem.
This would be unrelated, as the issue that's fixed now was local. What you saw may have been something like a link going down and traffic temporarily routed through another server. Hard to say if it was just a brief issue; I checked and didn't find anything related.
If it pops back up though, start a new thread and we'll investigate for sure.
I am experiencing the very issue that mpetch has described; Major packet loss and connection timeouts when running traceroutes/ping tests; Seems to be improving but was almost completely unusable earlier; Certainly NOT a hardware issue on my end but definitely something to do with Shaw and their interconnects; Getting rather frustrated.
We've replied to you in your post for this issue here. Frustrating slow internet speeds during the evening. We have locked this thread to keep the discussion focused, please feel free to reply in the above thread.
