So if I understand correctly , by activating this feature a caller will be prompted to divulge either their number or name before the call would ring my phone .? And this feature is forever on until I deactivate it.
If you have the Anonymous Call Blocking feature activated, calls from anonymous (Private) numbers will not be able to call you. These callers will hear an automated message to the effect that the number dialed does not accept calls from private numbers. (Private callers should still be able to temporarily display their information when they call by dialing star code first, thus allowing the call to connect).
The Anonymous Call Block feature is turned off by default but can be activated if you dial *77 from your home phone. It will remain active until you dial *87 (this feature can also be controlled through the Phone Portal). Please note that not all phone plans include this feature.
Hope this helps!
