Hi! Since moving onto a Shaw Gateway, on some channels, and even some tv shows, the picture doesn't fill the whole screen. Any idea how to fix this?
Give this a try and let me know if that works for you or not:
Go to Settings > Aspect Ratio > TV Type (16:9) > Stretch

Perfect, thank you so much. We should get the Gateway techs to set that up as default. It's clearly a common problem!
as a standard all our boxes are deployed without stretch enabled. This is because we can't predict what TV will be behind the box. these portals work on SD TV's as well
The problem we stated in that thread was a before and after scenario after the upgrade. In this case, you most likely had a fresh install with the new software so that would be set up the first time. For others that went through the upgrade, they had set a setting that somehow got reversed during the upgrade process. The steps mentioned in that thread address that
And I would definitely not want stretch. Who wants fat people??
