so is there any way to have the gateway guide display correctly
as a example i read the guide and i get this "universe the" instead displaying of "The Universe"
can i change this setting or am i stuck with this till they update the firmware again
got a response back from Arris. The portals adding a comma in the guide display is by design. We will forward the info to our product team to see if they want to drive that being changed To arris.
In this case its not a firmware issue on gateway, but something with the guide data source.
shaw-moderator can notify our video ops department to make a request to the EPG data provider to fix the title.
its not just that title its common thru out the giude

I just checked the Mobile app that references the same data, and 'The Universe' is displaying as expected.
In this scenario, it does look like the portal adding that effect.
edit: also verified your other examples. Appears that yes you are correct the firmware on the portal displays it this way, where as the data referenced in the mobile app is displaying it correctly.
We will ask Arris why the experience between both platforms is not the same.
I think I was having a similar issue with a progam I was trying to record
Showed 'The' in the guide and in series recordings, but wasn't recording, deleted the series, set it up again, this time it shows as set to record, but is missing 'The' in the title in the series list - weird issue
Interesting, I haven't come across this particular issue yet with recordings but I will add those details in our escalation.
I can confirm what hyperlynx has noticed where the portal changes the title when the commas are present, not just for that example mentioned above.
Will be interested to see what Arris says about this.

Just to correct a statement, the epg data for these titles don't have commas in it.

Thanks for the pics there hyperlynx. This must be a one off with how titles are being entered, as I've noticed that 'The Universe' shows without the comma on demand on the Gateway. We'll send this up to our video operations team to have it corrected. Thanks again for letting us know.
it seems to be the portals as well.. both are doing it.. any program that has a comma in it causes the issue..
