I am using Shawmail and I have 2 monitors, both 4/3. The screensize of the transmitted page is 16/9.
Is it possible to change it.
I think I get what you're saying; there is a minimum width for the Webmail client. I've used Chrome's developer tools to find the left sidebar and main content windows minimum widths. I've tested to be sure and it looks like if your monitors are set to at least 1152x864, Webmail should display fine. If your resolution is below that, it will be cut off.
Does it sound like that's what's happening? You can check your screen resolution through the Control Panel if you're running Windows (Display Icon).
Let me know
9/16 is the screen size of wide screen TV, 9 units high compared to 16 units wide. Old style TV's and older monitors, which I have because I prefer them, are 3 units high by 4 wide. A lot of programs will allow you to use either and change the page size accordingly as you can do in a word processing program.
My monitor resolution is set to 1280 w x 1024 h.
With Shawmail as set up, it fills one monitor and spills over to 1/3rd of the other so make long lines of text difficult to read. I will try to shrink it to fit only one monitor.
Which operating system and web browser are you running?
I'm thinking you should be able to manually re-size the browser window to keep it within one monitor screen correct?
