I am very annoyed with MCAfee Site Advisor. It is always crashing. I would like to delete it but the screen I get is different to the one that I get on this forum to remove SA.
In the list of installed programs do you still see McAfee SiteAdvisor? Are you able to click on that then click Remove?
Another option would be to un-install the extension from the web browser.
Which web browser do you use?

Good evening bmcreynolds
Have you already seen the instructions here for How to remove McAfee Internet Security software? You can chose to remove Site Advisor only.
Thanks for trying, but as stated in my original message the "instructions for removal" are incorrect. See following:
Not listed as a program. At your suggestion I have disabled it as a plug-in to Netscape. Time will tell I suppose. Thanks.
Hi there bmcreynolds,
As long as it's disabled in your browser's extension settings it shouldn't have any interaction with your internet browser at all, so that should do the trick. Sorry about the frustrations with the program! Just let us know if there's anything else we can assist you with.
Solution did not last. Returned on next reboot. I'm now very busy. Otherwise I would look into complete removal and reinstall without SA.
If you're still having issues with with the uninstaller via control panel (as per your screenshot above), you can use the removal tool found at http://shawcd.shawbiz.ca/ to remove McAfee. And than follow through this guide to re-install.
Also, are you using Netscape as your browser? Netscape hasn't been updated in over 6 years and isn't compatible with McAfee's SiteAdvisor, and for security purposes I wouldn't recommend using it. McAfee SiteAdvisor is supported in Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome & Internet Explorer.
