I've recently switched to Shaw from Telus and am having difficulty. I was able to set up the account (the email address was created over the phone) and am able to receive messages. When I try to send, I get the following message
"Sending of message failed.
The message could not be sent using SMTP server mail.shaw.ca for an unknown reason. Please verify that your SMTP server settings are correct and try again, or contact your network administrator."
When I tried to change the outgoing mail settings, I went through all the steps at
but then it hung up at the last stage, of "Verifying password" and never completed.
