I would like to be able to send emails from my shaw account, but do not have shaw internet. Currently my outgoing SMPT is shawmail.gv.shaw.ca, what should the outgoing SMPT be changed to? I am still able to recieve emails. I use Windows Email.
Thanks for posting on the Community! In order to set up your email client using Windows Mail, please follow these instructions:
If you match up all the settings in your email client to the ones in this document it should work. Also, one thing I'd like to note that in order to have an active Shaw email account, it does require you to have Shaw internet, or have the Shaw email account on a friend/family member's active Shaw internet account. You can check to see if your Shaw email account is still active by signing in to Webmail using your email address/password.
Please let us know if you continue to have issues sending/receiving using your Shaw email address.
