I use Google Chrome as my default browser. Photo Share does not work in Chrome. Is this a known issue or am I missing a plug in?
The Java plugin might not work. When you get to the step where you're uploading photos, there should be mention of using alternate methods of uploading. Look for either the "flash" or "single uploader". Try the flash method first, as it will allow you to upload multiple photos at once.
I can load the photos, and I can browse them. when it comes to editing them or viewing the slide show, I cannot se them in Chrome. I can see them in Internet Explorer. I have uninstalled java, adobe player, and shockwave then re-installed. also uninstalled chrome itself and reinstalled. Still nothing. All I get when I try and view the show is error loading image
I have tried to replicate the issue you're having with Photo Share in Chrome, but I haven't been successful in doing so. It is working properly over three separate accounts when editing a gallery or viewing a Slideshow. Could you let us know if you're receiving an error message when you try to edit your Photo Shares (Manage Photo Shares>Edit)? I would also recommend ensuring that you have only one Java runtime version enabled through the Java icon in the Windows Control Panel. With the Java settings window open, select the Java tab along the top, click View and ensure only one item is checked.
Only running Java 7 all other versions that were previously on my system are removed. When I attempt to ed a photo in my photoshare, I very briefly see the photo, it then disappears and is replaced with the symbol for a broken link. Google chrome is also up to date with Java allowed to run on all sites
It sounds like we might need to do some troubleshooting on our end with your account. I'll send you a Private Message so I can get your account details.
Experirencing photoshare issues. One of which sounded like the symbol of a broken link, just curious what fixed it for the original poster.
I took a look through my conversation with scouterbill, but it doesn't look like we got to the bottom of it; he did contact us by phone but we weren't able to get it working and I think it was left at that.
I didn't have any trouble with Photo Share in Chrome with any of my accounts, so if you're having the same problem, I'm thinking this might have something to do with a Chrome extension, or possibly with Java. Have you made sure Java is up-to-date?
Also, if possible see if you can try with Chrome on another machine. If it's still happening, let me know and I'll follow up.
