So I bought a wireless repeater to boost the signal to the rest of my house as my wireless modem is pretty much in a basement corner and the signal 2 floors up is very weak and causing a problem. The issue is that in order to setup the repeater I need to log into it and to do so my PC and it have to be connected and my PC has to be within a certain IP range from 192.168.1.x - 192.168.1.xxx and my IP is 192.168.0.xx.

So the big question is how to I manually set a static IP long enough to setup the repeater then release it and return to "regular" automatically assigned IP settings ?
