Can my teenager bypass parental controls by Port Forwarding?

We are about to move our accounts from Telus to Shaw as our Actiontec router provided by Telus will not allow parent controls to be set and Telus cannot/will not bridge the router. We also want to be assured that the three devices concerned (Macbook Pro, iPod and X Box), can all be controlled by timed access. This is critical for the X Box as unlike the other 2, parents can only set a time range on the device. As stated, our concern is that our tech savvy teen would be able bypass the controls if he chose to do so. Is this likely and does anyone have any further advice, other than having better control over child? Thanks.
