I am trying to set a read receipt and the support information from 2013 is not valid now.
It says it is under the Composing Messages.
There is no option there.
This would be the best place for it.
Might be a good idea to get it back.
For the most part, read receipts are ignored these days.
I am pretty sure you can turn still them on though, but I am not using Office 2013, so can't confirm or tell you how.
Most people ignore the read receipt requests. Webmail and mobile phones don't usually send the responce
I have to agree with Kevin that read receipts do tend to be ignored nowadays. When I get a request to acknowledge a read receipt, I always click 'no'.
Are you using Outlook 2013? I'm sure we can help you find the most uptodate info on how to set this up for you.
