I am unable to send email on my iphone 4 with my shaw email. I can receive ok but not send.
Is your account setup as Exchange? IMAP/SMTP? Or POP/SMTP?
What errors do you get?

It is set up as pop.shaw.ca for incoming mail and SMTP, mail.shaw.ca for outgoing mail, SSL and server port 995.
I am getting an error message saying that connection to the outgoing server, m,ail.shaw.ca failed.
Outgoing settings are SMTP, mail.shaw.ca, SSL and server port 995
mail.shaw.ca should be using port 587
But I would recommend changing to the Exchange account type
