I can not open or save mail attachments! Help
There's a known issue with attachments not downloading to Window 8. It sounds like you might be affected by this. The workaround is to create a @outlook.com email account and then link the @shaw.ca address.
A bit of work to set it up but once set up, it should fix it for you.

What are you using to check your email? Is this in Shaw Webmail or an email program or app installed on your computer or device?
Hi Lance... I can open attachments on Shaw Webmail. I can not open attachments with Windows Live Mail 2011 or Windows mail. Attachments can not be saved either. Right click, double click. Nothing happens not even an error report.
Setting your mail up as an IMAP account should fix it too, and a lot easier
