Usually can't connect the first time

Hi,

For the last few months when I first try to check email I get this:

 

Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of inactivity. Account: 'shawmail.gv.shawcable.net', Server: 'shawmail.gv.shawcable.net', Protocol: POP3, Server Response: '+OK message follows', Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Error Number: 0x800CCC0F

 

I try again and it usually works. Any idea why?
