I would like to access my archived messages from the portal, currently I know I have messages saved but it says "you have no messages" when I use the app
Good morning diggerknutson
Ms are stored for 14 days. After 14 days all messages listened to or not are marked as expired and can be saved for another 14 days before getting marked as expired again. I am not certain about the app but if you log into the Shaw Phone portal and click on Archive you should be able to listen to them there still though.
Also you might want to setup voice-mail to email, instructions can be found here My Shaw Home Phone features
I hope that helps.
That is the issue; the archive button isn't available even though I know I have archived messages there just a message saying "you have no voicemail messages" the portal app allows me to archive new messages when I receive them but then I am unable to view them. this a iPhone 5 app
Thank you for your reply diggerknutson
Are you able to view these by logging into Phone Portal on a computer?
I had never accessed the portal on my computer until now, I see that I can see the archived messages on the computer so my issue is with the iPhone app
It sounds like it may be a feature not available in the Shaw phone app. I don't have this installed on my own phone and I'm also not an iPhone user but I will see if I can get someone to test this. It may need to be escalated, I will let you know.
Unfortunately at this time archived messages are not available through the Shaw Voicemail App but it could be something we look into adding in the future.
Please let us know if we can assist with anything further.
