My Gateway will not display the TV Guide, tv screen shrinks as normal, but everything else is black. No information at all, also channel numbers will not appear when changing channels.

What does your TV support?
You have stumped me, I don't know the answer to either of those. Would pushing the reset button on the portal help?
Worth a shot.
Might want to consider a full Gateway reboot if that doesn't work. Just simply unplug it for a few seconds then back in.
Reset button on back of portal seems to have done the trick. This is the first issue I have had with the Gateway, so I was a little reluctatnt to start pushing buttons and such. Hopefully this is the last issue too.
