We are purchasing a new computer and want to know if our saved emails, contacts etc need to be transferred to new computer or are they are stored at shaw and will be available when we open shaw emails on new computer?
Depending on how you've been accessing your email previously, there are a few possibilities here. If you sign into your Webmail (http://webmail.shaw.ca) do you see a copy of your emails there? If so, your new computer will be able to download the emails directly from the Webmail server. If you don't see your emails here, it's because your previous computer was likely set up to remove emails from the server, and in that case you'd need to look into transferring your emails from the old computer to the new one by means such as a data transfer cable (e.g., Ethernet or USB), burnable disk, etc.
As far as your contacts go, unless you had been saving your contacts to Webmail you'd also need to look into exporting your contacts from your old computer and importing them onto the new one. If these things are not something you're comfortable doing yourself, a PC technician can usually help, and the store where you purchased your new computer may also offer the service of transferring data from your old computer to the new one.
Thanks that answers my question.
