Got this a couple of days ago for spare room 32" TV (brand new) . Seems I can't get HD even though my older (5 years) Motorola PVR can on living room 40" TV. Did I goof? Haven't even paid for it. Can I return it for a credit?
The Motorola DCT700 digital cable terminal is a standard definition terminal only. If you're looking to view high definition content on your new HD TV, you'll need to connect an HD digital cable terminal. Our most recent HD digital cable terminal models are the Motorola 3200 (non-PVR) and 3400 (PVR) terminals. We also have our Gateway system, which can output HD channels as well. We have more information about our equipment pricing online, at Shaw - Equipment. We also have a full list of our standard definition and high definition digital cable equipment, at Shaw Digital Boxes - Equipment Guide.
If you haven't paid for the DCT700 and are currently renting it, you can return it to a Shaw retail location. Our HD equipment is available for purchase at our retail locations, and also at third-party locations like Best Buy and Future Shop.
