I cannot see any difference between High Def. and regular TV . (The cable Box is a dcx3400-M) am I paying for a service I am not getting?
Hi there wilbert,
Is this a new box you've just connected? What kind of video cables are using here (e.g., HDMI, component, etc)?
I had this hook up by Shaw ,HDMI etc .. A year or so Ago...I had notice no Difference and i kind of let it slid. Last night had some friends over and they were saying that they did not think I had HD and of course that does confirmed what I was suspecting ... I have to admit that a few Bottles of Beaujolais Nouveau was Involved. :-) still I do not seem to get HD . Can Shaw do a Test to see if it is or not? Thank you.
There isn't a test for this, but if you have an HDTV you should see a clear difference in the sharpness between the HD channels (ie., those in the 200-channel range) and the lower SD channels.
Even if the hookup was done by us, I'm wondering if you could take another look at the cables from the HDPVR to your TV? Is it an HDMI cable alone that's connected? Can you see any other cables hooked up from the HDPVR to your TV?
No other cable but the HDMI to the TV and of Course the cable in from the wall outlet. I do recall sometime way back ,the Box was making a strange Noise for a few Hours. Turned everything off and once back on all was fine. Still I do not recall ever seeing a Difference between regular & HD. The TV is a HD TV Sharp AQUOS
In this case, let's check your HDPVR more closely here. I'll send you a private message for your account information, please check your Community Inbox.
