Was watching tv today when out of the blue tv said no signal. Checked HDMI cable came back on for sec then went off again. Replaced HDMI cable and still no luck replaced PVR with non PVR and worked so has to be the PVR.
Replacing the HDMI cable - good step.
Connecting the non-PVR - also a good step.
In case the PVR itself has locked up and isn't sending a signal to the TV, have you pulled the power cord to it for 30 seconds? If that reboot doesn't restore the signal, time to move on to the next tests
Let's see if the issue is with the HDMI port on either the TV or the PVR,
Does the non-PVR connect by HDMI? If it doesn't, do you have anything else, such as a Blu-ray or game system that you can connect to that HDMI port on the TV instead? If you can view that device on that HDMI port, we know the TV is okay.
Next, what happens if you connect the PVR to a different HDMI port on the back of the TV? If you can view the PVR on a different HDMI port, we know the PVR is okay.
Let us know the results of these tests!
I have pulled the power cord to the DVR and let it reset no luck. I have used the same HDMI cable and tv and used my regular HD box from living room and it worked fine. Took the PVR to living room tv does not work. Just says check signal cable
Very thorough tests! It does sound like the issue is with the PVR.
I'd like to try resetting it for you. Please check your inbox for a private message from me.
