what is the for error 1004 please?
the program shows in my orders i only get errot 1004 and nothing online to fix
At this time VOD error 1004 appears to be a known issue that we are investigating further, if you are able to find the title in the regular Video on Demand menu through the digital cable box then you may be able re-order or resume the title from there.
If this is a Movie Central or Super Channel, Primetime TV title then the workaround for now is to order the title in standard definition from the vod.shaw.ca website and then resume it from your digital cable box under "My Orders".
We are currently investigating the cause of this issue, did you order the title online from the http://exo.shaw.ca/ website or via your remote from the Shaw On Demand menu?

Like other posts on this topic I am also experiencing the same error code "1004" when ordering title from exo.shaw.ca/ site to watch on my TV. The error code is displayed from my Motorola DCX3400-M PVR when I attempt to access my orders from VOD menu from the receiver. This appears to be a systemic issue that SHAW will have to sort out. Another issue is when I go online to the exo site even though I have a subscription to HBO and Movie Central, I try to access a show I get message "This title is not available in spite of me selecting it from the EXO site." Could you please follow up on these issues . Thanks.

I wrote on another thread about this back in October, but that thread now appears to be locked. I recently downloaded the android app and I get the same error message, making the app pointless. As this "known issue" has been around for 6 months, perhaps it was time it was fixed?
I Have a fix for error 1004:
1. Fist let the VOD selection expire in "My orders" - in my case it was the program called "Kidnap and Ransom."
2. Go onto exo website and select the program again - it defaults to the HD version for order, however this program is not available in HD so hence the error 1004... Select Standard viewing.
3, Go to My orders with your remote and program plays no problem.
This is how I solved the 1004 error, which is caused by ordering a non HD show in HD format. Shaw website should change the default to non-HD selection to prevent this error?
I have the problem with error 1004 on ONE of my shaw boxes but no the other. I order a movie on my computer and it will play from my bedroom but not from our main TV in the living room. I had an appointment booked yesterday for Shaw to come to my house to fix the issue after phoning Shaw 3 or 4 times to solve the issue. The technician didn't show up as arranged so I called Shaw at 2:00 pm to ask where the tech was and they told me to keep waiting that he must be late ... I waited until 5:00 pm and still, no show! I called Shaw yet again ... and spoke with a representative who put me on hold to speak with someone else and waited for over ten minutes before I hung up to cook dinner. The at 11:03 pm last night, I was online and got booted off, the whole house lost internet (yet again). I am getting fed up with Shaw since they don't seem to respect my time at all and I seem to be phoning every month since moving into this house to fix issues.
