Ali, I do not have a 3510-M, just a 3400 but I too have had scheduled recordings not appearing. Today it was Reliable Sources on CNN (8am). It recorded on another 3400, though, although that one had a difference set of scheduled recordings to do.
Could you please check the Menu > PVR > PVR history and advise what is says for Reliable Sources on CNN?
ali, I did that and there is no entry of any kind about Reliable Sources on Sunday. But, Saturday I checked to see what would be recorded on Sunday and it was there. So, I just checked Saturday history and there is no Reliable Sources there either. I should have also noted that this program is one of my series programs.

What settings do you have set up for the series recording? New only? All episodes? Please let us know.
I set it up for only new. Reliable Sources does not repeat as far as I know.
Ok thanks for the information. Can you try removing the series recording and re-setting it back up to see if that helps? I haven't heard of any known issues on that unit in terms of series recordings, so it's quite hard to say exactly what caused it to get missed. If it continues to miss recordings, please let us know.
I can do that but right now it shows it scheduled for next Sunday. Let us wait and see what happens then. If it happens again, then I will try that suggestion.
Well, the scheduled Reliable Sources recorded as usual. So, I guess a temporary problem.
however, I have now seen that some of the recordings that should have been recorded the same Sunday that Reliable Sources did not record, also did not record (although they did on another PVR!). Time to pull the plug I guess.
For the shows that did not record, go back into the PVR History take a look to see the reason given that these were not recorded.
Well, Don, this explains this one. It says not recorded because of option set. What did not record was one that I had cancelled the New time and set it to record on a Repeat time. Thanks, I will be sure to set it to record repeats then next time I make this switch. Thanks
PS: Note that this was not the problem with the other missing recording. That one was supposedly new.
Well, now it is breaking up one series recording (PBS newshour on wtvs) into 5 parts for one hour program.
Have you tried cancelling the series recording and then setting it again? If not, please try this and let us know if you still experience the problems.
That might work if it were a recurring problem on the series recording. But this is the only time. It has done it on other series programs but usually only one time and not again. So, there has got to be some other problem.
Has this happened on multiple instances of this program? Or just once? We're going to try setting it up as a recording here to see if we can reproduce the issue. I see that the next instance of this program is on Monday, so we'll have to wait until then to find out. If the provider of the program sends certain prompts (incorrectly), it may signal the end of the program and the PVR will cut it up in to separate recordings.
I'll also send you a direct message to check your account and try resetting the unit for you. Please check your Community Inbox shortly.
I don't want to reset this again. It is just a pain as then I have to reset up everything. Let us see if it happens next Monday first.
If you find this recurs there is no need to do further troubleshooting on your end. We have recently identified an issue causing some recordings to fail on the DCX3400-M PVR and this will be addressed.. Please see my comment here for more information.
