I'm trying to create a separate email address but it keeps coming up with the message, "There was an error creating your email account."
I'm guessing, if the user name I was attempting to use was taken, it would let me know that?
Unfortunately, no you won't receive a more specific error if the email is already registered (I definitely agree that the message could be more specific to avoid confusion...that's feedback I can pass upwards). If you are only receiving this error when attempting to register certain names it would be because that name has already been taken.

I MUST DISAGREE that the only reason is that a username is already picked. I have tried twice today (June 26, 2016) to create 1 email address for my brand new Internet 30 plan so I can use Wifi. I keep getting the same error message, and tried a new username numerous times (including spelling them BACKWARDS), and even tried completely RANDOM combinations blindly typing at my keyboard with no success!! I even tried Shaw's "chat support" thing, and got useless info from the human who tried to help. Something is seriously wrong. I am very annoyed as I am not getting what I've just paid for.
