HOw much to send a fax with home phone?
There would be no cost for you to send faxes, provided that you have your own fax machine and our phone service. The recommendation is that you have a separate number for the fax machine (can either be a Distinctive Ring number or a dedicated Second Line.) Your fax machine will still work without the use of a Distinctive Ring number or a Second Line though; this will need to be configured within your fax machine settings. We do have more information on this, found at this link here.

The cost is "zero".
First, if your phone-service offers voice-mail, check your voice-mail, and process all "new" messages,
so that when you next pickup your phone, you get the "steady" dial-tone, instead of the "beep-beep-beep"
that signals that you have new voice-mail. Getting the "beeps" may confuse the sending of the FAX.
My printer is an "All-In-One" that can send a FAX.
So, I connect it to my Shaw Home Phone line.
Then, I open the document that I want to send.
Then, I click 'Print Preview', and select the 'FAX' component of my printer as the "printer".
Then, I click "Print".
It asks for the telephone-number of the recipient's FAX.
It sends the FAX.
I disconnect the printer from my Home Phone line, and reconnect my telephone.

If your computer has its own internal FAX-modem, then the procedure is basically the same.
Just select 'internal FAX modem' when presented with the "print to which printer" menu.
Same as the the longdistance rate to the destination.
If you figure 1 minute per page, all depends on where you send it
