So I've been with shaw for as long as I can remember, and in December/January during the holidays we streamed alot of netflix. This caused our data usage to jump to 700-750 gb, I know this because we received a call about it and they suggested we change our settings from HD to medium which would lower its usage from 3gb an hour to 750 mb an hour. Fast forward today I received a second call that we were still over as our data was about 340- 350 with an allotted 250 with our package. Even after the reduction we're are still over. I was then threatened that if in our currenty billing cycle we we're still over that my modem would be suspended for 2 days. I'm still a fan of shaw internet, but with the current antics of rising costs and downgraded services, and assuming my modem does get suspended I am going to look for another ISP. If there's any shaw representative that could help without changing plans please message me because I'm now starting to look for other options.
