I have a DCX3200 and it does not have update HD gude. Is there anyway it can be upgrade to the new HD guide?
I can see why there would be a confusion, as there are two types of DCX3200 that we support, one with the Classic Guide and one with the HD Guide menu system. Though the hardware may look identical, there is a differentiation between the two. Internally, we would call the model with the HD Guide menu "DCX3200 M-P3." Unfortunately, if you have the model that currently has the Classic Guide menu system, the cable box would not be able to be updated to the HD Guide menu system. We do apologize for any inconveniences this may have caused.
At this time, we do not have any option to upgrade the software on the digital box to the new HD Guide.
I saw a post and I thought it will be updated last year but it does not.
HD Guide Update (version 1.1.14) - June 17-19th, 2014

I just bought a DCX 3200-M on Kijiji, assuming all of them were the same (I had one already with the HD guide). Unfortunately, the one I got on Kijiji is the old SD guide.
My question is, can we assume all new DCX 3200 Ms we might buy direct from Shaw or from a reseller would be the newer "DCX 3200 M-P3"?
They should be..
Only really old stock will have the classic guide
Is there an option to exchange a functioning "non HD guide able" unit (such as DCX3200 P2 or DCT6200) for the same series DCX3200 but M-P3 (HD guide enabled) and pay some "upgrade fee"?
Hello vladpl ,
Currently there is no program to swap a non-HD guide unit for an HD guide unit. We do have different options to get a HD guide box from a Service Agreement or Easy Own plan. Let us know if you'd like to discuss this options.
