Netgear WiFi Range Extender WN3000RP with Shaw Cisco DP3825

Title pretty much says it all, the Shaw wifi modem is at one end of the house leaving the opposite end with a much weaker signal.  I can't move the modem to a more central location (easily) so I'm considering getting this Netgear product.  I have read where there 'were' issues with the older Cisco Router that Shaw was using but can't find any discussion regarding compatibility issues with the newer WiFi Modem.

Would appreciate any feedback if you're using this combination.
