I have a DCX3510 M receiver and some channels are in describe video (Nat Geo, Discovery...etc). I have checked my settings and they are off. Where is this coming from. Is Shaw doing this?
Can you tell me what settings have you checked so far? DVS may have somehow been enabled either through your TV set, or your digital box. (for information on how to disable through your digital box, please see High Definition Guide - Audio Settings)
Thank you for your prompt answer. I do not know how it was fixed because I shutdown everything (meaning no power at all for 1 min.) then brought the whole tv, PVR and all products that were connected. It's gone now. Thank you
Thanks for updating us sinc38, glad to hear it's back to normal for you again.
There was a recent firmware update to the HD Guide boxes which enabled the use of the "D" button on the remote to enable/disable DVS. It's possible you inadvertently pressed that button while on those channels.
