Does the new HD guide on the Motorola box have the same issue with missing icons as the Gateway? The Gateway is missing FXHD, Kvos and Chek HD to name a few.
With the gateway, we have to submit an approved logo to ARRIS to add onto the channel map. Sometimes that takes time for them to complete.
with HD guide, I believe that control is in our hands, which means the icons get updated when we add the channel (as long as the logo is available).
That explains FX, but CHEK and KVOS aren't new channels.
If those icon's were there before and they are missing, then something funky happening on ARRIS's side causing the icons to disappear.
I have seen cases where TLC didn't have an icon for the HD channel, but it did before. Checking the channel map configuration, the Icon does show as being missing which our operations team then have to make the request to ARRIS to add the logo back.
Also similar case is when there is a white background around the icon. I have no clue why that happens, but we see that it shows up like that in the channel map.
I can't explain why it disappears, but I will pose the question to some ARRIS folks. Let you know what I find out.

Still no action on this. As well, I notice the screensaver on the Gateway still has the old Shaw logo falling from the sky.
I hadn't noticed it was the old logo still. (Because I rarely look at it.)
And it reeeeeeally would be nice to see the missing icons added sooner rather than later.
I'll check in again with our operations team for the missing logos, as for the screensaver with the old logo that I'm told will be updated soon.
The process should not be as slow as it is, however because a team within shaw needs to approve logo's and obtain them directly from the channel provider, that is where it creates the roadblocks. I share your frustration with why it is taking so long, and looking at the ticket I see that there is activity with our operations centers waiting to get the logo so they can pass it off to ARRIS. I've given them a nudge again to try and push this through.
As far as the shaw logo being changed on the portals, a new update will be happening very soon that will be pushed. That code contains an update to the shaw logo.
