I want to add a second tv, can I do that with only one PVR? I would watch the same channel on the main tv. No need to have PVR on second tv!
If you want to have the two TVs watching the same thing then all the time, then yes, you can run cables to your 2nd TV, as well as a remote extender of some sort.
Both TVs would be displaying the same thing, so it may be easier to get a 2nd terminal for the 2nd TV.
So do I run the cable right from the first TV or from the PVR? Sorry this is all new to me!
You need to run cables from your PVR to your 2nd TV. What connection is your primary TV using? HDMI?
Your 2nd TV, is it standard defintion or high definition? If standard definition, running the RF out to the cable input on your 2nd TV is probably cheapest and easiest.
If high-definition, really long component cables from your PVR.
Have to look into IR extenders, I haven't looked at any for over a decade, so I have no idea what is on the market now.
Theyve got everything, very fair prices
